Long Hood as a group was created to perform at a charity event to raise funds for Cancer.

We put the band together for the event on August 17th, 2002 and played to a full house at the Utopia Community Centre.

The band donated their performance and the event was a great success.

The Susie Q Ride for Cancer which included the evening dance raised an incredible $8,635 for the cancer department of the Royal Victoria Hospital.

The band has went through a transformation period and is now booking upcoming gigs which include weddings, birthday parties and local clubs.

LongHood has continued it's dedication to community by mixing charity events into it's schedule. In the past we have supported Easter Seals, Heart and Stroke, and Cancer to name a few.

Christmas parties should be booked well in advance for next year.

Considering the increasing cost of DJ's the band is starting to get busy.

Every event has been a very successful, including the Barrie Santa Claus Parade where the band played the Alladin Banquet Hall, Classic Martial Arts Christmas Party, Orillia February Blues jam session at the Orillia Opera House, etc.

With pricing comparable to a DJ service you can have a live band at your function.
